CORNETO21 OLIVE OIL&MORE

About us

It started with a house…

In 2022, we bought a house in the hills of Tuscany, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards in the heart of Chianti. It took time to renovate — slowly, piece by piece. Three years later, it became the place where we gather with family and friends, spending time together or simply being on our own, in a quiet and peaceful rhythm.

Around 200 olive trees belong to the house. And at the beginning, what did the three of us know about olive trees? Very little…

Still in the middle of the renovation, we did our first harvest — the three of us, together with our friend Luca. We came home with an olive oil rich in taste, slightly spicy, with a beautiful color. But also with something else — a special kind of satisfaction, a deep calm.

The repetitive movement of combing through the trees felt almost like meditation — a kind of detox for the mind. And then there is that moment when you gather the nets and see how many olives they hold. Very small moments, but priceless — even for our teenage son at the time.

We spoke about it so much afterwards that last year we returned as a group of fourteen — friends and family, spending a full week harvesting together. And somehow, everyone felt it. A different rhythm. A peacefulness that stays. A kind of rest that is hard to find nowadays.

We are happy to share this journey with you and hope you will love our limited-edition olive oil as much as we do.

Our Olives and Trees

More than 200 olive trees surround our home in the hills of Tuscany — old trees shaped by decades of sun, wind, and time.

For many years, they were left untended. When we arrived, they needed care, patience, and a fresh start. Over the past three years, we have carefully pruned them by hand and nourished the soil with organic fertilizers.

Each season brings its challenges: changing weather, dry or overly wet summers, and the olive fly, which can destroy an entire harvest. Everything comes together at the end of October or the beginning of November, depending on the ripeness of the olives.

Friends and family arrive at the house. We spread nets beneath the trees, comb through the branches, and gather olives by hand — bucket by bucket.

It is shared and hard work: passing crates, climbing ladders, laughing, and spending an intense and wonderful time together. At the end, we bring the olives to the mill, many boxes packed into the trunks of our cars — and just a few hours later, we can all see and taste the result: our own fresh olive oil — intense, vibrant, pure, alive.

Our Olive Oil

Our extra virgin olive oil is the result of time, care, and a deep respect for nature. Hand-harvested from our olive trees in the hills of Tuscany, it reflects the landscape, the changing seasons, and the quiet dedication behind every harvest. The color is rich in green , the flavor is fresh and vibrant, with notes of green and dark olives, slightly bitter with a gentle peppery finish.

Each can carries more than olive oil — it carries moments shared with family and friends, long days beneath the trees, sun-warmed soil, and the peaceful rhythm of life in the Tuscan countryside.

Thank you

CORNETO21 would not exist without the people who have been, and continue to be, part of this journey.

Thank you to Wenke, who discovered this house together with me and introduced us to the beauty of this special part of the world.

Thank you to all our dear friends — who help care for the house, the trees, and each harvest — without you, Corneto21 would not be the same.

A special thank you to Bernadetta, Marcello, and everyone in Italy who supported us in bringing Corneto to its next chapter and helping us realize our vision.

A special thank you to everyone who contributed creatively — especially Sabine, Peter, Antje, Christoph and Printrs.nl in The Hague for producing our labels.

Thank you so much to Sander from Simon de Vogel Traiteur in Den Haag, who sells our limited edition and helped bring our first pop-up sale to life.

Last but not least, a very special thank you to our dear Luca.

Con gratitudine,
